For millennia, humanity has suffered many hardships and atrocities but in this day and age as a planetary collective, we are experiencing them all at once as an old Earth cycle dies and new Earth cycle is born. Although humans expend a great deal of time and resources in trying to control others and circumstances, the hard truth is that life is often unpredictable and short. You can only control yourself - how you react and interact with others and your environment. To live your most enjoyable, meaningful life, you must devote your energy to things that actually matter. Others may have their own idea of what you should be doing or what you must do, but ultimately you have to go your own way even if it irritates and angers others. This is not to say, that it is okay to behave in a manner that is unethical or damaging to others. You are part of a community even if you consider yourself a loner and a hermit. You exist to be of service. But you must first be of service to yourself.
Unless you were born into a family with extreme wealth and privilege, the odds for success have never been stacked in your favor. The systems put into place long ago were not designed for you to thrive in a supportive environment. Instead, from the time you were born, the systems were designed to wear you down - force you into repetitive patterns that stripped you of your voice and your autonomy - to make you feel empty, to make you fail. When you are truly able to see and feel all that is playing out around you, living day to day becomes exhausting. However, even if you are aware of all of it, no matter how you resist, you cannot escape it. It just is what is. Many are attempting to distract themselves from reality, trying to delude themselves into believing that the old normal is returning and that all that they have to do is live life the old way to bring it back. The old normal is not returning. Humanity has entered a new playing field with a future that is unseeable and unknowable. This is disorienting. Others are reacting in fear and violence. You show your strength through your grace and endurance, your willingness to be vulnerable. For now, manage your spiritual, mental, emotional well-being. If you are overwhelmed, seek help with the caveat that excluding sociopaths who are reveling in the chaos, almost everyone is in crisis on some level right now. The most restorative action may be to visit a wild beach or a dense forest where you can tune into the rhythms of nature far from the cacophony of human activity. If a beach or a forest are out of reach at the moment, find a local park where you can sit on a bench and listen to the birds and the rustling of the leaves from the morning breeze. Remember to breathe when your circumstances feel suffocating. Climate change and ecological collapse will push humanity to either cooperate or perish. Humans have their greatest successes when each contributes their own strengths and individual tools to a common cause for the highest good. Even if you feel depleted or hopeless right now, you are needed and you are worthy of experiencing love, joy, and abundance. Hold your vision for a future in which all sentient beings may flourish. May your vision be a shared vision that creates a miracle. (c)GingerMysteries www.gingermysteries.com You are welcome to share this article but please include the above credit.
